Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Insurance, Communication and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 lost 0.71%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Liveperson (TASE:LPSN), which rose 2.39% or 270 points to trade at 11560 at the close. Meanwhile, Elbit Systems Ltd (TASE:ESLT) added 1.60% or 790 points to end at 50150 and Ormat Technologies (TASE:ORA) was up 1.57% or 380 points to 24570 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA), which fell 3.26% or 85 points to trade at 2522 at the close. Phoenix Holdings Ltd (TASE:PHOE1) declined 3.13% or 125 points to end at 3871 and Electra Ltd (TASE:ELTR) was down 2.51% or 5440 points to 211680.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 317 to 170 and 36 ended unchanged.
Shares in Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA) fell to 52-week lows; falling 3.26% or 85 to 2522.
Crude oil for January delivery was up 0.15% or 0.11 to $71.78 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 0.20% or 0.15 to hit $75.00 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.18% or 3.30 to trade at $1788.10 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.48% to 3.1138, while EUR/ILS rose 0.43% to 3.5201.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.09% at 96.162.
