Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Biomed, Communication and Oil & Gas sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 lost 0.71%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TA:TSEM), which rose 2.82% or 153 points to trade at 5587 at the close. Meanwhile, Liveperson (TA:LPSN) added 1.04% or 77 points to end at 7487 and Shufersal (TA:SAE) was up 0.52% or 13 points to 2497 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK), which fell 6.91% or 93 points to trade at 1253 at the close. Elbit Systems Ltd (TA:ESLT) declined 2.62% or 1170 points to end at 43480 and Delek Group (TA:DLEKG) was down 2.53% or 1700 points to 65450.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 236 to 149 and 29 ended unchanged.
Shares in Shufersal (TA:SAE) rose to all time highs; up 0.52% or 13 to 2497.
Crude oil for December delivery was up 2.77% or 1.54 to $57.23 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 2.96% or 1.94 to hit $67.41 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.27% or 3.20 to trade at $1202.40 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.15% to 3.6945, while EUR/ILS rose 0.31% to 4.1774.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.25% at 96.90.
