Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Communication, Technology and Biomed sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 lost 0.69%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Israel Discount Bank Ltd (TASE:DSCT), which rose 1.72% or 19 points to trade at 1124 at the close. Meanwhile, Harel (TASE:HARL) added 1.35% or 36 points to end at 2700 and Nice Ltd (TASE:NICE) was up 1.29% or 1000 points to 78400 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ormat Technologies (TASE:ORA), which fell 5.59% or 1470 points to trade at 24820 at the close. Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA) declined 4.57% or 150 points to end at 3134 and Matrix (TASE:MTRX) was down 4.05% or 310 points to 7351.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 222 to 173 and 31 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 1.05% or 0.44 to $41.57 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 1.01% or 0.45 to hit $43.89 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.82% or 15.40 to trade at $1858.50 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.06% to 3.3498, while EUR/ILS fell 0.03% to 3.9665.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.22% at 92.517.
