Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Biomed, Technology and Oil & Gas sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 declined 0.67%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Airport City Ltd (TASE:ARPT), which rose 2.86% or 156.00 points to trade at 5,610.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA) added 1.69% or 116.00 points to end at 6,982.00 and Mivne Real Estate KD Ltd (TASE:MVNE) was up 0.60% or 5.50 points to 925.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TASE:TSEM), which fell 4.62% or 730.00 points to trade at 15,070.00 at the close. NICE Ltd (TASE:NICE) declined 3.08% or 1,950.00 points to end at 61,360.00 and Phoenix Holdings Ltd (TASE:PHOE) was down 2.75% or 107.00 points to 3,788.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 285 to 146 and 108 ended unchanged.
Shares in Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA) rose to 5-year highs; up 1.69% or 116.00 to 6,982.00.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 0.81% or 0.57 to $69.77 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 0.66% or 0.49 to hit $73.26 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.17% or 4.30 to trade at $2,527.30 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was unchanged 0.13% to 3.68, while EUR/ILS rose 0.31% to 4.09.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.54% at 101.22.
