Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Communication and Insurance sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 fell 0.66%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Perrigo (TASE:PRGO), which rose 1.02% or 180 points to trade at 17780 at the close. Meanwhile, Ormat Technologies (TASE:ORA) added 0.95% or 210 points to end at 22240 and Phoenix Holdings Ltd (TASE:PHOE1) was up 0.74% or 16 points to 2177 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Delek Group (TASE:DLEKG), which fell 5.56% or 3050 points to trade at 51800 at the close. Paz Oil (TASE:PZOL) declined 3.21% or 1630 points to end at 49150 and Elbit Systems Ltd (TASE:ESLT) was down 2.87% or 1590 points to 53840.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 287 to 97 and 31 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was down 2.89% or 1.64 to $55.14 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 2.80% or 1.78 to hit $61.88 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.36% or 5.10 to trade at $1428.40 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.04% to 3.5408, while EUR/ILS rose 0.06% to 3.9747.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.05% at 96.803.
