Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Biomed, Financials and Insurance sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 declined 0.62%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TASE:BEZQ), which rose 1.64% or 7.90 points to trade at 491.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Sapiens International Corporation NV (TASE:SPNS) added 1.01% or 100.00 points to end at 9,975.00 and Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA) was up 0.56% or 25.00 points to 4,499.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ormat Technologies (TASE:ORA), which fell 2.82% or 680.00 points to trade at 23,460.00 at the close. OPC Energy Ltd (TASE:OPCE) declined 2.52% or 65.00 points to end at 2,510.00 and Energean Oil & Gas PLC (TASE:ENOG) was down 2.32% or 104.00 points to 4,380.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 238 to 225 and 74 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for March delivery was down 0.89% or 0.64 to $71.64 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 0.62% or 0.48 to hit $76.85 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 1.03% or 21.15 to trade at $2,032.55 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.47% to 3.67, while EUR/ILS fell 0.21% to 3.94.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.65% at 104.46.
