Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Biomed, Oil & Gas and Communication sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 lost 0.61%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Azrieli Group Ltd (TASE:AZRG), which rose 1.59% or 400 points to trade at 25500 at the close. Meanwhile, Poalim (TASE:POLI) added 1.54% or 45 points to end at 2975 and Leumi (TASE:LUMI) was up 1.42% or 35 points to 2493 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were OPKO Health Inc (TASE:OPK), which fell 5.51% or 30 points to trade at 509 at the close. Energean Oil & Gas PLC (TASE:ENOG) declined 4.13% or 151 points to end at 3501 and International Flavors & Fragrances Inc (TASE:IFF) was down 4.07% or 1920 points to 45240.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 243 to 135 and 44 ended unchanged.
Shares in Poalim (TASE:POLI) rose to all time highs; rising 1.54% or 45 to 2975.
Crude oil for March delivery was down 2.68% or 1.43 to $51.90 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 3.11% or 1.83 to hit $57.08 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.74% or 11.65 to trade at $1582.05 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.01% to 3.4502, while EUR/ILS rose 0.20% to 3.8064.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.16% at 97.665.
