Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Biomed, Insurance and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 lost 0.58%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Delek Drilling LP (TA:DEDRp), which rose 3.06% or 32 points to trade at 1079 at the close. Meanwhile, Israel Corp (TA:ILCO) added 2.01% or 2300 points to end at 116900 and Delek Group (TA:DLEKG) was up 1.86% or 1120 points to 61400 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK), which fell 6.41% or 91 points to trade at 1328 at the close. Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TA:TEVA) declined 4.40% or 367 points to end at 7973 and Elbit Systems Ltd (TA:ESLT) was down 3.41% or 1630 points to 46120.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 242 to 153 and 21 ended unchanged.
Shares in Israel Corp (TA:ILCO) rose to 3-years highs; up 2.01% or 2300 to 116900.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.41% or 0.29 to $71.86 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.30% or 0.24 to hit $81.03 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 1.03% or 12.30 to trade at $1186.80 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.78% to 3.6111, while EUR/ILS rose 0.25% to 4.2171.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.54% at 94.39.
