Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Real Estate, Communication and Insurance sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 declined 0.57%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Nova (TASE:NVMI), which rose 2.38% or 750.00 points to trade at 32,300.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA) added 0.83% or 30.00 points to end at 3,628.00 and Big Shopping Centers Ltd (TASE:BIG) was up 0.75% or 240.00 points to 32,330.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Shikun & Binui (TASE:SKBN), which fell 3.75% or 40.00 points to trade at 1,026.00 at the close. Ashtrom Group Ltd (TASE:ASHG) declined 3.33% or 215.00 points to end at 6,235.00 and Melisron (TASE:MLSR) was down 3.24% or 750.00 points to 22,370.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 325 to 143 and 31 ended unchanged.
Shares in Ashtrom Group Ltd (TASE:ASHG) fell to 52-week lows; down 3.33% or 215.00 to 6,235.00.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 0.18% or 0.14 to $78.73 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 0.12% or 0.10 to hit $85.48 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.30% or 5.45 to trade at $1,850.75 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.74% to 3.55, while EUR/ILS rose 0.68% to 3.79.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.02% at 103.86.
