Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Real Estate, Insurance and Oil & Gas sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 fell 0.53%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Mizrahi Tefahot (TASE:MZTF), which rose 3.12% or 220 points to trade at 7280 at the close. Meanwhile, Israel Discount Bank Ltd (TASE:DSCT) added 2.21% or 23 points to end at 1065 and Matrix (TASE:MTRX) was up 1.84% or 168 points to 9300 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Mivne Real Estate KD Ltd (TASE:MVNE), which fell 3.42% or 24 points to trade at 684 at the close. Electra Ltd (TASE:ELTR) declined 2.99% or 4980 points to end at 161820 and OPKO Health Inc (TASE:OPK) was down 2.83% or 49 points to 1684.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 222 to 185 and 14 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.40% or 0.17 to $42.72 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.15% or 0.07 to hit $45.30 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.70% or 14.00 to trade at $2012.70 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.04% to 3.4010, while EUR/ILS rose 0.53% to 4.0596.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.59% at 92.302.
