Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Communication, Oil & Gas and Insurance sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 lost 0.53%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TA:TSEM), which rose 1.88% or 125 points to trade at 6760 at the close. Meanwhile, Mizrahi Tefahot (TA:MZTF) added 0.50% or 34 points to end at 6900 and Azrieli Group Ltd (TA:AZRG) was up 0.50% or 100 points to 20050 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK), which fell 2.42% or 25 points to trade at 1009 at the close. Israel Corp (TA:ILCO) declined 2.40% or 2500 points to end at 101600 and Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TA:BEZQ) was down 2.37% or 7.8 points to 321.7.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 222 to 160 and 32 ended unchanged.
Shares in Azrieli Group Ltd (TA:AZRG) rose to 52-week highs; rising 0.50% or 100 to 20050.
Crude oil for April delivery was down 0.58% or 0.33 to $56.83 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 0.33% or 0.22 to hit $66.86 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 1.07% or 14.45 to trade at $1333.45 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.40% to 3.6219, while EUR/ILS rose 0.45% to 4.1073.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.13% at 96.417.
