Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Technology, Biomed and Insurance sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 declined 0.50%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Ormat Technologies (TASE:ORA), which rose 2.24% or 580.00 points to trade at 26,500.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Melisron (TASE:MLSR) added 1.29% or 340.00 points to end at 26,660.00 and Mivne Real Estate KD Ltd (TASE:MVNE) was up 1.25% or 15.00 points to 1,216.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Energix (TASE:ENRG), which fell 2.85% or 35.00 points to trade at 1,195.00 at the close. Maytronics (TASE:MTRN) declined 2.59% or 159.00 points to end at 5,973.00 and Shufersal (TASE:SAE) was down 2.14% or 62.00 points to 2,835.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 332 to 169 and 30 ended unchanged.
Shares in Maytronics (TASE:MTRN) fell to 52-week lows; down 2.59% or 159.00 to 5,973.00.
Crude oil for May delivery was down 4.08% or 4.01 to $94.25 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 4.18% or 4.30 to hit $98.48 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.14% or 2.70 to trade at $1,948.30 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.27% to 3.21, while EUR/ILS unchanged 0.14% to 3.50.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.24% at 99.99.
