Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Biomed, Technology and Insurance sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 fell 0.49%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TA:BEZQ), which rose 2.29% or 12.4 points to trade at 554.4 at the close. Meanwhile, Sodastream International Ltd (TA:SODA) added 1.40% or 360.0 points to end at 26110.0 and Frutarom Industries Ltd (TA:FRUT) was up 1.40% or 440 points to 31910 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK), which fell 5.28% or 87 points to trade at 1560 at the close. Israel Corp (TA:ILCO) declined 3.92% or 2820 points to end at 69180 and Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TA:TEVA) was down 3.70% or 279 points to 7261.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 277 to 121 and 25 ended unchanged.
Shares in OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK) fell to all time lows; falling 5.28% or 87 to 1560. Shares in Sodastream International Ltd (TA:SODA) rose to all time highs; gaining 1.40% or 360.0 to 26110.0.
Crude oil for February delivery was down 0.05% or 0.03 to $63.70 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 0.10% or 0.07 to hit $69.08 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.09% or 1.20 to trade at $1335.90 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.12% to 3.4357, while EUR/ILS fell 0.06% to 4.2046.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.13% at 90.35.
