Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Biomed, Oil & Gas and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 declined 0.46%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TASE:TSEM), which rose 3.82% or 251 points to trade at 6827 at the close. Meanwhile, Melisron (TASE:MLSR) added 2.44% or 440 points to end at 18480 and Azrieli Group Ltd (TASE:AZRG) was up 1.70% or 420 points to 25150 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA), which fell 4.28% or 124 points to trade at 2776 at the close. OPKO Health Inc (TASE:OPK) declined 3.75% or 28 points to end at 726 and Liveperson (TASE:LPSN) was down 2.84% or 330 points to 11270.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 218 to 148 and 42 ended unchanged.
Shares in Azrieli Group Ltd (TASE:AZRG) rose to all time highs; up 1.70% or 420 to 25150.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.50% or 0.28 to $56.48 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.16% or 0.10 to hit $63.47 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.08% or 1.15 to trade at $1420.45 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.03% to 3.5205, while EUR/ILS rose 0.09% to 3.9214.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.08% at 97.833.
