Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Communication, Technology and Biomed sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 declined 0.45%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TASE:ICL), which rose 4.14% or 62 points to trade at 1560 at the close. Meanwhile, Elbit Systems Ltd (TASE:ESLT) added 2.58% or 1050 points to end at 41750 and Shapir Engineering Industry (TASE:SPEN) was up 2.28% or 54 points to 2425 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Maytronics (TASE:MTRN), which fell 5.47% or 270 points to trade at 4670 at the close. OPKO Health Inc (TASE:OPK) declined 3.13% or 42 points to end at 1300 and Perrigo (TASE:PRGO) was down 2.33% or 380 points to 15940.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 225 to 190 and 16 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was up 0.94% or 0.42 to $45.33 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 0.52% or 0.25 to hit $48.03 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.28% or 5.00 to trade at $1809.60 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.31% to 3.3209, while EUR/ILS fell 0.24% to 3.9552.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.23% at 92.007.
