Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Insurance, Communication and Biomed sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 lost 0.45%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TASE:BEZQ), which rose 4.68% or 11.4 points to trade at 255.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Ormat Technologies (TASE:ORA) added 1.78% or 470 points to end at 26810 and Amot Investments Ltd (TASE:AMOT) was up 1.49% or 37 points to 2520 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Perrigo (TASE:PRGO), which fell 4.00% or 750 points to trade at 18000 at the close. Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA) declined 3.68% or 113 points to end at 2958 and Phoenix Holdings Ltd (TASE:PHOE1) was down 2.50% or 52 points to 2024.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 225 to 156 and 29 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for December delivery was down 1.61% or 0.92 to $56.31 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 1.78% or 1.12 to hit $61.84 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.63% or 9.35 to trade at $1493.05 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.10% to 3.4930, while EUR/ILS rose 0.07% to 3.8672.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.06% at 97.745.
