Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Insurance, Financials and Communication sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 declined 0.43%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Maytronics (TASE:MTRN), which rose 11.73% or 645.00 points to trade at 6,146.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Ormat Technologies (TASE:ORA) added 5.05% or 1,240.00 points to end at 25,800.00 and Nova (TASE:NVMI) was up 2.50% or 840.00 points to 34,490.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Israel Corp (TASE:ILCO), which fell 3.32% or 6,710.00 points to trade at 195,690.00 at the close. Shufersal (TASE:SAE) declined 3.25% or 84.00 points to end at 2,500.00 and OPKO Health Inc (TASE:OPK) was down 3.00% or 31.00 points to 1,001.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 266 to 235 and 27 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for July delivery was down 2.24% or 2.46 to $107.17 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 2.22% or 2.49 to hit $109.44 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.01% or 0.10 to trade at $1,819.00 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.88% to 3.38, while EUR/ILS rose 0.34% to 3.54.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.29% at 103.71.
