Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Biomed, Technology and Communication sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 declined 0.38%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TASE:TSEM), which rose 1.29% or 72 points to trade at 5672 at the close. Meanwhile, Shufersal (TASE:SAE) added 1.06% or 26 points to end at 2474 and Amot Investments Ltd (TASE:AMOT) was up 1.03% or 23 points to 2264 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Liveperson (TASE:LPSN), which fell 3.70% or 381 points to trade at 9919 at the close. Israel Corp (TASE:ILCO) declined 2.58% or 2090 points to end at 78850 and Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA) was down 1.49% or 50 points to 3301.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 221 to 139 and 54 ended unchanged.
Shares in Amot Investments Ltd (TASE:AMOT) rose to all time highs; gaining 1.03% or 23 to 2264.
Crude oil for July delivery was up 0.19% or 0.10 to $53.36 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 0.03% or 0.02 to hit $62.31 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.12% or 1.65 to trade at $1330.95 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.05% to 3.5803, while EUR/ILS rose 0.16% to 4.0546.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.02% at 96.692.
