Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Insurance and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 fell 0.37%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Melisron (TASE:MLSR), which rose 1.59% or 350 points to trade at 22310 at the close. Meanwhile, Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA) added 0.92% or 32 points to end at 3520 and Poalim (TASE:POLI) was up 0.82% or 23 points to 2833 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were OPKO Health Inc (TASE:OPK), which fell 2.31% or 13 points to trade at 541 at the close. Strauss Group (TASE:STRS) declined 2.18% or 240 points to end at 10770 and Energean Oil & Gas PLC (TASE:ENOG) was down 1.92% or 82.00 points to 4185.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 210 to 185 and 25 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for February delivery was up 0.95% or 0.58 to $61.69 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 0.94% or 0.63 to hit $67.83 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.63% or 9.55 to trade at $1514.35 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.01% to 3.4705, while EUR/ILS rose 0.15% to 3.8538.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.14% at 97.115.
