Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Insurance, Technology and Biomed sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 lost 0.36%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were OPKO Health Inc (TASE:OPK), which rose 11.36% or 126 points to trade at 1235 at the close. Meanwhile, Energean Oil & Gas PLC (TASE:ENOG) added 9.30% or 238 points to end at 2798 and Israel Discount Bank Ltd (TASE:DSCT) was up 2.96% or 31 points to 1077 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Maytronics (TASE:MTRN), which fell 12.80% or 688 points to trade at 4688 at the close. Nice Ltd (TASE:NICE) declined 5.99% or 5030 points to end at 78990 and Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TASE:TSEM) was down 4.69% or 370 points to 7520.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 244 to 153 and 23 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for December delivery was up 1.71% or 0.69 to $40.98 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 1.53% or 0.65 to hit $43.05 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.57% or 29.05 to trade at $1883.45 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.44% to 3.3830, while EUR/ILS rose 0.52% to 3.9987.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.01% at 92.725.
