Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Insurance, Technology and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 fell 0.35%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Elbit Systems Ltd (TASE:ESLT), which rose 2.22% or 1,690.00 points to trade at 77,690.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Mivne Real Estate KD Ltd (TASE:MVNE) added 1.37% or 12.60 points to end at 933.00 and Melisron (TASE:MLSR) was up 1.08% or 250.00 points to 23,500.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TASE:TSEM), which fell 7.79% or 980.00 points to trade at 11,600.00 at the close. Kenon Holdings Ltd (TASE:KEN) declined 2.92% or 270.00 points to end at 8,964.00 and Strauss Group (TASE:STRS) was down 2.77% or 238.00 points to 8,340.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 269 to 182 and 45 ended unchanged.
Shares in Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TASE:TSEM) fell to 52-week lows; losing 7.79% or 980.00 to 11,600.00.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.54% or 0.44 to $80.55 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.39% or 0.33 to hit $84.56 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.24% or 4.65 to trade at $1,930.55 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.48% to 3.76, while EUR/ILS rose 0.34% to 4.09.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.11% at 103.21.
