Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Biomed, Insurance and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 lost 0.33%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Perrigo (TASE:PRGO), which rose 1.64% or 260 points to trade at 16160 at the close. Meanwhile, Amot Investments Ltd (TASE:AMOT) added 1.46% or 34 points to end at 2355 and Melisron (TASE:MLSR) was up 0.80% or 150 points to 19000 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Elbit Systems Ltd (TASE:ESLT), which fell 3.12% or 1750 points to trade at 54310 at the close. OPKO Health Inc (TASE:OPK) declined 2.52% or 19 points to end at 723 and Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TASE:TSEM) was down 2.30% or 128 points to 5438.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 243 to 144 and 28 ended unchanged.
Shares in Amot Investments Ltd (TASE:AMOT) rose to all time highs; gaining 1.46% or 34 to 2355. Shares in Melisron (TASE:MLSR) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 0.80% or 150 to 19000.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.38% or 0.22 to $58.12 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.53% or 0.34 to hit $64.52 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 1.11% or 15.75 to trade at $1433.95 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.08% to 3.5945, while EUR/ILS fell 0.19% to 4.0922.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.03% at 95.512.
