Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Biomed, Communication and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 lost 0.30%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Electra Ltd (TASE:ELTR), which rose 2.07% or 3750 points to trade at 184900 at the close. Meanwhile, Shapir Engineering Industry (TASE:SPEN) added 1.43% or 35 points to end at 2485 and Harel (TASE:HARL) was up 0.97% or 31 points to 3230 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were OPKO Health Inc (TASE:OPK), which fell 2.50% or 33 points to trade at 1288 at the close. Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA) declined 2.02% or 67 points to end at 3245 and Ormat Technologies (TASE:ORA) was down 1.83% or 420 points to 22570.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 240 to 226 and 28 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 1.04% or 0.76 to $73.74 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.88% or 0.65 to hit $74.93 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.23% or 4.10 to trade at $1767.70 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.25% to 3.2608, while EUR/ILS fell 0.15% to 3.8636.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.41% at 92.418.
