Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Real Estate, Insurance and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 declined 0.30%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Matrix (TASE:MTRX), which rose 3.02% or 218 points to trade at 7440 at the close. Meanwhile, Energix (TASE:ENRG) added 1.97% or 25 points to end at 1292 and Elbit Systems Ltd (TASE:ESLT) was up 1.90% or 860 points to 46020 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TASE:BEZQ), which fell 2.91% or 9.6 points to trade at 320.4 at the close. Airport City Ltd (TASE:ARPT) declined 2.84% or 135 points to end at 4626 and Melisron (TASE:MLSR) was down 2.49% or 440 points to 17210.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 214 to 207 and 26 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 2.17% or 1.19 to $55.95 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 1.30% or 0.75 to hit $58.55 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.17% or 3.20 to trade at $1836.60 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.05% to 3.2999, while EUR/ILS fell 0.07% to 3.9683.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.15% at 91.162.
