Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Insurance, Oil & Gas and Biomed sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 fell 0.30%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TA:BEZQ), which rose 2.01% or 9.2 points to trade at 466.2 at the close. Meanwhile, Leumi (TA:LUMI) added 1.29% or 31 points to end at 2430 and Shufersal (TA:SAE) was up 1.06% or 27 points to 2580 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Liveperson (TA:LPSN), which fell 4.38% or 331 points to trade at 7230 at the close. Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TA:TSEM) declined 2.53% or 137 points to end at 5270 and Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TA:TEVA) was down 1.87% or 155 points to 8140.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 209 to 161 and 49 ended unchanged.
Shares in Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TA:TSEM) fell to 52-week lows; losing 2.53% or 137 to 5270. Shares in Shufersal (TA:SAE) rose to all time highs; gaining 1.06% or 27 to 2580.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 0.04% or 0.02 to $56.44 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 0.81% or 0.54 to hit $66.22 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.20% or 2.50 to trade at $1223.30 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.02% to 3.7027, while EUR/ILS rose 0.30% to 4.2409.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.28% at 96.06.
