Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Biomed and Insurance sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 declined 0.29%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Maytronics (TASE:MTRN), which rose 1.51% or 74 points to trade at 4966 at the close. Meanwhile, Sapiens International Corporation NV (TASE:SPNS) added 1.43% or 129 points to end at 9160 and Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA) was up 1.21% or 40 points to 3354 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Energean Oil & Gas PLC (TASE:ENOG), which fell 9.75% or 338 points to trade at 3128 at the close. Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TASE:TSEM) declined 2.51% or 222 points to end at 8632 and Nice Ltd (TASE:NICE) was down 1.80% or 1420 points to 77580.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 216 to 193 and 20 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 0.04% or 0.02 to $45.74 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 0.31% or 0.15 to hit $48.94 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.44% or 8.30 to trade at $1874.30 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.15% to 3.2595, while EUR/ILS rose 0.18% to 3.9471.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.13% at 90.903.
