Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Real Estate, Biomed and Insurance sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 declined 0.27%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Fattal 1998 Holdings Ltd (TASE:FATTAL), which rose 8.42% or 1280 points to trade at 16480 at the close. Meanwhile, Shapir Engineering Industry (TASE:SPEN) added 4.36% or 92 points to end at 2200 and Israel Corp (TASE:ILCO) was up 3.28% or 1000 points to 31490 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Alony Hetz Properties and Investments Ltd (TASE:ALHE), which fell 4.16% or 158 points to trade at 3636 at the close. Delek Group (TASE:DLEKG) declined 3.37% or 239 points to end at 6854 and Bazan Oil Refineries Ltd (TASE:ORL) was down 3.16% or 2.1 points to 64.3.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 224 to 155 and 29 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.39% or 0.16 to $40.79 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.56% or 0.24 to hit $43.34 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.88% or 15.75 to trade at $1809.25 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.33% to 3.4447, while EUR/ILS fell 0.47% to 3.8901.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.11% at 96.787.
