Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Communication, Oil & Gas and Insurance sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 declined 0.26%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Shapir Engineering Industry (TASE:SPEN), which rose 1.95% or 42.00 points to trade at 2198.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Delek Group (TASE:DLEKG) added 1.51% or 900 points to end at 60400 and Elbit Systems Ltd (TASE:ESLT) was up 1.17% or 650 points to 56150 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TASE:BEZQ), which fell 3.27% or 8.8 points to trade at 260.4 at the close. Airport City Ltd (TASE:ARPT) declined 2.63% or 171 points to end at 6324 and Isramco Negev 2 LP (TASE:ISRAp) was down 2.10% or 1.3 points to 60.6.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 279 to 116 and 24 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for February delivery was unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to $63.05 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 0.17% or 0.12 to hit $68.72 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.83% or 12.95 to trade at $1565.35 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.14% to 3.4747, while EUR/ILS rose 0.11% to 3.8892.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.20% at 96.330.
