Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Biomed, Technology and Communication sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 fell 0.26% to hit a new 3-months low.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Leumi (TA:LUMI), which rose 1.86% or 43 points to trade at 2353 at the close. Meanwhile, Gazit Globe Ltd (TA:GZT) added 1.85% or 52 points to end at 2864 and Israel Discount Bank Ltd (TA:DSCT) was up 1.06% or 13.0 points to 1237.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TA:TEVA), which fell 3.64% or 254 points to trade at 6730 at the close. Israel Corp (TA:ILCO) declined 2.60% or 2620 points to end at 98280 and Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TA:BEZQ) was down 1.85% or 7.3 points to 387.7.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 268 to 116 and 31 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for February delivery was down 1.03% or 0.53 to $50.94 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 0.13% or 0.08 to hit $60.20 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.40% or 4.95 to trade at $1246.35 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.05% to 3.7669, while EUR/ILS rose 0.17% to 4.2716.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.27% at 96.653.
