Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Insurance, Financials and Biomed sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 lost 0.25%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TA:ICL), which rose 1.11% or 18 points to trade at 1643 at the close. Meanwhile, Elbit Systems Ltd (TA:ESLT) added 1.10% or 440 points to end at 40620 and Amot Investments Ltd (TA:AMOT) was up 0.91% or 17 points to 1894 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ormat Technologies (TA:ORA), which fell 2.57% or 480 points to trade at 18180 at the close. Harel (TA:HARL) declined 1.69% or 48 points to end at 2792 and Isramco Negev 2 LP (TA:ISRAp) was down 1.26% or 0.5 points to 39.1.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 227 to 153 and 33 ended unchanged.
Shares in Ormat Technologies (TA:ORA) fell to 52-week lows; down 2.57% or 480 to 18180. Shares in Isramco Negev 2 LP (TA:ISRAp) fell to 5-year lows; losing 1.26% or 0.5 to 39.1.
Crude oil for July delivery was down 2.15% or 1.46 to $66.42 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 1.52% or 1.16 to hit $75.31 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.42% or 5.50 to trade at $1298.20 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.39% to 3.5761, while EUR/ILS rose 0.14% to 4.1554.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.19% at 94.39.
