Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Biomed, Communication and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 fell 0.24%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Liveperson (TASE:LPSN), which rose 2.23% or 230 points to trade at 10540 at the close. Meanwhile, Harel (TASE:HARL) added 2.12% or 58 points to end at 2794 and Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TASE:TSEM) was up 1.83% or 101 points to 5630 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA), which fell 6.94% or 281 points to trade at 3770 at the close. Perrigo (TASE:PRGO) declined 4.66% or 800 points to end at 16360 and Israel Discount Bank Ltd (TASE:DSCT) was down 1.35% or 19.0 points to 1392.0.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 211 to 161 and 48 ended unchanged.
Shares in Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA) fell to 5-year lows; down 6.94% or 281 to 3770.
Crude oil for July delivery was up 0.94% or 0.55 to $59.18 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 0.19% or 0.13 to hit $68.64 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.48% or 6.15 to trade at $1277.45 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.25% to 3.6113, while EUR/ILS rose 0.02% to 4.0342.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.32% at 97.787.
