Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Biomed, Insurance and Real Estate sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 declined 0.23%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Sapiens International Corporation NV (TASE:SPNS), which rose 4.89% or 427 points to trade at 9152 at the close. Meanwhile, OPKO Health Inc (TASE:OPK) added 3.27% or 38 points to end at 1200 and Liveperson (TASE:LPSN) was up 2.59% or 500 points to 19800 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Maytronics (TASE:MTRN), which fell 3.26% or 232 points to trade at 6895 at the close. Ormat Technologies (TASE:ORA) declined 3.02% or 680 points to end at 21820 and Energean Oil & Gas PLC (TASE:ENOG) was down 2.25% or 69 points to 2991.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 310 to 172 and 22 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 1.01% or 0.69 to $68.84 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.98% or 0.69 to hit $71.07 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.34% or 6.15 to trade at $1808.35 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.11% to 3.2139, while EUR/ILS rose 0.16% to 3.8059.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.06% at 92.222.
