Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Biomed, Communication and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 declined 0.22%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Paz Oil (TASE:PZOL), which rose 1.82% or 910 points to trade at 51040 at the close. Meanwhile, Delek Group (TASE:DLEKG) added 1.72% or 930 points to end at 55020 and Bazan Oil Refineries Ltd (TASE:ORL) was up 1.51% or 2.8 points to 188.8 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TASE:BEZQ), which fell 2.43% or 5.9 points to trade at 237.1 at the close. Gazit Globe Ltd (TASE:GZT) declined 2.02% or 65 points to end at 3160 and Poalim (TASE:POLI) was down 1.86% or 51 points to 2685.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 235 to 139 and 37 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.63% or 0.36 to $57.23 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.72% or 0.46 to hit $64.08 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.59% or 8.35 to trade at $1428.75 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.81% to 3.4916, while EUR/ILS fell 0.73% to 3.8942.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.04% at 97.833.
