Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Biomed and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 lost 0.20%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were OPKO Health Inc (TASE:OPK), which rose 6.97% or 39 points to trade at 597 at the close. Meanwhile, Gazit Globe Ltd (TASE:GZT) added 2.86% or 118 points to end at 4238 and Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA) was up 2.58% or 90 points to 3579 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Israel Corp (TASE:ILCO), which fell 4.38% or 2880 points to trade at 62850 at the close. Energean Oil & Gas PLC (TASE:ENOG) declined 3.43% or 136 points to end at 3824 and Isramco Negev 2 LP (TASE:ISRAp) was down 3.40% or 1.9 points to 54.0.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 229 to 161 and 31 ended unchanged.
Shares in Israel Corp (TASE:ILCO) fell to 52-week lows; losing 4.38% or 2880 to 62850. Shares in Gazit Globe Ltd (TASE:GZT) rose to 3-years highs; rising 2.86% or 118 to 4238.
Crude oil for March delivery was down 2.71% or 1.54 to $55.20 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 2.40% or 1.52 to hit $61.69 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.49% or 7.65 to trade at $1564.35 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.10% to 3.4563, while EUR/ILS fell 0.51% to 3.8178.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.25% at 97.540.
