Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Communication, Insurance and Oil & Gas sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 lost 0.14%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Mizrahi Tefahot (TASE:MZTF), which rose 2.52% or 227 points to trade at 9236 at the close. Meanwhile, Israel Discount Bank Ltd (TASE:DSCT) added 2.14% or 31 points to end at 1481 and Energix (TASE:ENRG) was up 1.99% or 25 points to 1283 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ashtrom Group Ltd (TASE:ASHG), which fell 2.46% or 167 points to trade at 6615 at the close. Perrigo (TASE:PRGO) declined 2.38% or 330 points to end at 13530 and Electra Ltd (TASE:ELTR) was down 2.19% or 4000 points to 179000.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 260 to 189 and 26 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for June delivery was up 0.81% or 0.50 to $62.41 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.63% or 0.41 to hit $65.44 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.13% or 2.35 to trade at $1777.75 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.17% to 3.2410, while EUR/ILS rose 0.09% to 3.9118.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.19% at 90.953.
