Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Technology, Biomed and Insurance sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 fell 0.11%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Ormat Technologies (TA:ORA), which rose 5.97% or 1110 points to trade at 19710 at the close. Meanwhile, Mazor Robotics (TA:MZOR) added 4.64% or 401 points to end at 9041 and Israel Corp (TA:ILCO) was up 3.88% or 4000 points to 107000 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TA:TSEM), which fell 5.16% or 404 points to trade at 7420 at the close. Liveperson (TA:LPSN) declined 3.25% or 310 points to end at 9230 and Perrigo (TA:PRGO) was down 2.43% or 670 points to 26880.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 236 to 154 and 17 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 2.41% or 1.67 to $70.92 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 1.19% or 0.94 to hit $80.00 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.08% or 1.00 to trade at $1203.20 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.12% to 3.5764, while EUR/ILS rose 0.04% to 4.1572.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.20% at 94.86.
