Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Insurance, Financials and Communication sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 fell 0.08%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Shikun & Binui (TASE:SKBN), which rose 2.14% or 16.50 points to trade at 789.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Ormat Technologies (TASE:ORA) added 1.81% or 530.00 points to end at 29,830.00 and Strauss Group (TASE:STRS) was up 1.76% or 144.00 points to 8,344.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TASE:ICL), which fell 2.76% or 57.00 points to trade at 2,010.00 at the close. OPC Energy Ltd (TASE:OPCE) declined 2.71% or 68.00 points to end at 2,442.00 and Israel Corp (TASE:ILCO) was down 1.84% or 1,820.00 points to 97,110.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 239 to 231 and 36 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.27% or 0.19 to $69.75 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.22% or 0.16 to hit $74.40 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.24% or 4.65 to trade at $1,917.55 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.75% to 3.70, while EUR/ILS rose 0.46% to 4.02.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.35% at 102.91.
