Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Insurance and Real Estate sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 fell 0.08%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Matrix (TASE:MTRX), which rose 2.22% or 173 points to trade at 7950 at the close. Meanwhile, Energix (TASE:ENRG) added 1.90% or 24 points to end at 1289 and OPKO Health Inc (TASE:OPK) was up 1.72% or 31 points to 1837 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Phoenix Holdings Ltd (TASE:PHOE1), which fell 2.25% or 61 points to trade at 2655 at the close. Shikun & Binui (TASE:SKBN) declined 1.59% or 31 points to end at 1919 and Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TASE:BEZQ) was down 1.51% or 4.9 points to 319.9.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 236 to 197 and 20 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 0.47% or 0.28 to $59.75 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 0.41% or 0.26 to hit $63.04 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 1.12% or 20.35 to trade at $1802.85 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.04% to 3.2399, while EUR/ILS fell 0.19% to 3.9234.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.07% at 90.537.
