Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Communication, Insurance and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 declined 0.04%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Amot Investments Ltd (TASE:AMOT), which rose 2.34% or 50.00 points to trade at 2,190.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Energean Oil & Gas PLC (TASE:ENOG) added 1.93% or 116.00 points to end at 6,132.00 and Shapir Engineering Industry (TASE:SPEN) was up 1.89% or 55.00 points to 2,967.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nice Ltd (TASE:NICE), which fell 3.61% or 2,420.00 points to trade at 64,560.00 at the close. Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TASE:TSEM) declined 2.45% or 370.00 points to end at 14,750.00 and Phoenix Holdings Ltd (TASE:PHOE1) was down 1.57% or 60.00 points to 3,771.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 272 to 189 and 48 ended unchanged.
Shares in Energean Oil & Gas PLC (TASE:ENOG) rose to all time highs; up 1.93% or 116.00 to 6,132.00.
Crude oil for December delivery was up 1.81% or 1.60 to $89.97 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 1.49% or 1.41 to hit $96.06 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.03% or 0.45 to trade at $1,650.15 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was unchanged 0.04% to 3.53, while EUR/ILS unchanged 0.03% to 3.49.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.04% at 111.40.
