Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Biomed, Technology and Insurance sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 lost 0.02%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Azrieli Group Ltd (TA:AZRG), which rose 3.37% or 610 points to trade at 18710 at the close. Meanwhile, Leumi (TA:LUMI) added 3.26% or 64 points to end at 2026 and First International Bank of Israel Ltd (TA:FTIN) was up 2.82% or 200 points to 7280 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK), which fell 3.87% or 69 points to trade at 1716 at the close. Bazan Oil Refineries Ltd (TA:ORL) declined 3.72% or 6.3 points to end at 163.2 and Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TA:TEVA) was down 2.74% or 179 points to 6361.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 232 to 165 and 29 ended unchanged.
Shares in Leumi (TA:LUMI) rose to all time highs; rising 3.26% or 64 to 2026.
Crude oil for February delivery was up 0.28% or 0.16 to $57.38 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 0.28% or 0.18 to hit $63.59 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.09% or 1.20 to trade at $1264.30 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.07% to 3.5034, while EUR/ILS rose 0.18% to 4.1383.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.03% at 93.26.
