Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Biomed, Technology and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 rose 2.46%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA), which rose 7.87% or 310 points to trade at 4250 at the close. Meanwhile, Bazan Oil Refineries Ltd (TASE:ORL) added 7.64% or 4.9 points to end at 69.0 and Energean Oil & Gas PLC (TASE:ENOG) was up 7.56% or 154 points to 2191 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TASE:BEZQ), which unchanged 0.00% or 0.0 points to trade at 357.0 at the close. Nice Ltd (TASE:NICE) added 0.25% or 170 points to end at 67940 and Gazit Globe Ltd (TASE:GZT) was up 0.30% or 5 points to 1691.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 325 to 83 and 17 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 2.08% or 0.84 to $41.13 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 1.91% or 0.82 to hit $43.72 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.02% or 0.45 to trade at $1813.85 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.25% to 3.4291, while EUR/ILS fell 0.15% to 3.9118.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.18% at 96.032.
