Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Communication, Insurance and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 gained 1.87%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Liveperson (TASE:LPSN), which rose 11.36% or 1340 points to trade at 13140 at the close. Meanwhile, Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA) added 7.90% or 181 points to end at 2471 and Ormat Technologies (TASE:ORA) was up 7.11% or 1600 points to 24100 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Perrigo (TASE:PRGO), which fell 7.00% or 1210 points to trade at 16080 at the close. Isramco Negev 2 LP (TASE:ISRAp) declined 1.32% or 0.9 points to end at 67.1 and Azrieli Group Ltd (TASE:AZRG) was down 0.90% or 240 points to 26300.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 263 to 136 and 24 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for September delivery was up 2.80% or 1.43 to $52.52 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 2.15% or 1.21 to hit $57.44 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.71% or 10.85 to trade at $1508.75 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.03% to 3.4756, while EUR/ILS rose 0.08% to 3.8957.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.03% at 97.317.
