Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Communication, Technology and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 gained 1.55% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Nova (TASE:NVMI), which rose 5.47% or 2110 points to trade at 40700 at the close. Meanwhile, Energix (TASE:ENRG) added 5.39% or 69 points to end at 1349 and Liveperson (TASE:LPSN) was up 5.00% or 550 points to 11540 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were OPKO Health Inc (TASE:OPK), which fell 2.51% or 31 points to trade at 1205 at the close. Perrigo (TASE:PRGO) declined 2.42% or 290 points to end at 11680 and Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA) was down 0.11% or 3 points to 2625.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 390 to 126 and 18 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was up 4.48% or 3.11 to $72.60 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 3.91% or 2.86 to hit $75.94 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.32% or 5.75 to trade at $1785.25 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 1.06% to 3.1315, while EUR/ILS fell 1.33% to 3.5243.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.13% at 96.457.
