Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Sunday, as gains in the Insurance, Oil & Gas and Communication sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 gained 1.45%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK), which rose 7.57% or 97 points to trade at 1378 at the close. Meanwhile, Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TA:TSEM) added 4.10% or 236 points to end at 5999 and Israel Corp (TA:ILCO) was up 3.33% or 3600 points to 111600 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Perrigo (TA:PRGO), which fell 0.25% or 60 points to trade at 23520 at the close. Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TA:TEVA) unchanged 0.00% or 0 points to end at 8060 and Poalim (TA:POLI) was up 0.31% or 8 points to 2558.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 267 to 122 and 33 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 1.46% or 0.75 to $50.70 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 1.20% or 0.72 to hit $59.19 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.21% or 2.60 to trade at $1227.80 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.23% to 3.7162, while EUR/ILS fell 0.44% to 4.2057.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.44% at 97.120.
