Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Real Estate, Insurance and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 gained 1.40%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA), which rose 5.55% or 186 points to trade at 3540 at the close. Meanwhile, Energix (TASE:ENRG) added 3.60% or 48 points to end at 1383 and Alony Hetz Properties and Investments Ltd (TASE:ALHE) was up 3.30% or 144 points to 4508 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Energean Oil & Gas PLC (TASE:ENOG), which fell 1.28% or 40 points to trade at 3088 at the close. Matrix (TASE:MTRX) declined 1.17% or 85 points to end at 7162 and Sapiens International Corporation NV (TASE:SPNS) was down 0.92% or 84 points to 9076.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 273 to 143 and 20 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 0.42% or 0.19 to $45.41 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 0.18% or 0.09 to hit $48.75 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 1.11% or 20.75 to trade at $1854.15 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.20% to 3.2507, while EUR/ILS fell 0.37% to 3.9267.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.11% at 91.065.
