Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Biomed, Technology and Communication sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 rose 1.38%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TA:TEVA), which rose 16.63% or 906 points to trade at 6355 at the close. Meanwhile, ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TA:ICL) added 4.53% or 65 points to end at 1500 and Israel Corp (TA:ILCO) was up 3.73% or 2400 points to 66700 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Harel (TA:HARL), which fell 1.93% or 40 points to trade at 2035 at the close. Amot Investments Ltd (TA:AMOT) declined 1.80% or 35 points to end at 1910 and Isramco Negev 2 LP (TA:ISRAp) was down 0.82% or 0.4 points to 48.6.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 227 to 167 and 16 ended unchanged.
Shares in Isramco Negev 2 LP (TA:ISRAp) fell to 3-years lows; down 0.82% or 0.4 to 48.6.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 0.51% or 0.24 to $47.72 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 0.17% or 0.09 to hit $53.69 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.90% or 12.14 to trade at $1339.06 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.51% to 3.5229, while EUR/ILS fell 0.07% to 4.2232.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.43% at 91.70.
