Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Insurance, Real Estate and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 rose 1.34% to hit a new 6-months high.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Ashtrom Group Ltd (TASE:ASHG), which rose 4.48% or 371.00 points to trade at 8,650.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Phoenix Holdings Ltd (TASE:PHOE1) added 3.62% or 142.00 points to end at 4,060.00 and Israel Corp (TASE:ILCO) was up 3.51% or 5,690.00 points to 168,000.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA), which fell 1.28% or 43.00 points to trade at 3,304.00 at the close. Nice Ltd (TASE:NICE) declined 0.79% or 570.00 points to end at 71,550.00 and Newmed Energy LP (TASE:NWMDp) was down 0.70% or 7.00 points to 998.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 299 to 197 and 26 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 1.34% or 1.26 to $95.00 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 1.06% or 1.06 to hit $101.28 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.13% or 2.35 to trade at $1,763.55 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.36% to 3.27, while EUR/ILS rose 0.25% to 3.26.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.09% at 108.65.
