Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Insurance and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 added 1.28% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TASE:TSEM), which rose 8.37% or 496 points to trade at 6421 at the close. Meanwhile, Delek Group (TASE:DLEKG) added 8.19% or 4220 points to end at 55720 and Delek Drilling LP (TASE:DEDRp) was up 7.26% or 69 points to 1014 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Israel Corp (TASE:ILCO), which fell 0.38% or 310 points to trade at 82090 at the close. Strauss Group (TASE:STRS) declined 0.37% or 40 points to end at 10660 and Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TASE:BEZQ) was down 0.33% or 0.8 points to 244.9.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 198 to 177 and 34 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.32% or 0.18 to $56.59 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.23% or 0.15 to hit $63.98 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.11% or 1.55 to trade at $1423.25 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.36% to 3.5238, while EUR/ILS fell 0.38% to 3.9287.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.08% at 97.338.
