Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Technology and Biomed sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 gained 1.27% to hit a new 6-months high.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Sapiens International Corporation NV (TASE:SPNS), which rose 11.23% or 1130 points to trade at 11190 at the close. Meanwhile, Shufersal (TASE:SAE) added 6.48% or 164 points to end at 2695 and Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TASE:TSEM) was up 5.02% or 480 points to 10050 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Energix (TASE:ENRG), which fell 2.68% or 38 points to trade at 1380 at the close. Shapir Engineering Industry (TASE:SPEN) declined 1.65% or 39 points to end at 2331 and Israel Discount Bank Ltd (TASE:DSCT) was down 1.44% or 20 points to 1370.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 257 to 174 and 15 ended unchanged.
Shares in Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TASE:TSEM) rose to 52-week highs; rising 5.02% or 480 to 10050.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 0.92% or 0.49 to $53.47 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 0.95% or 0.53 to hit $56.43 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 1.30% or 23.95 to trade at $1864.15 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.50% to 3.2684, while EUR/ILS rose 0.16% to 3.9551.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.03% at 90.505.
