Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Biomed, Technology and Real Estate sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 gained 1.27% to hit a new 3-years high.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA), which rose 7.28% or 256 points to trade at 3772 at the close. Meanwhile, Azrieli Group Ltd (TASE:AZRG) added 3.56% or 930 points to end at 27040 and Elbit Systems Ltd (TASE:ESLT) was up 3.17% or 1750 points to 57000 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TASE:BEZQ), which fell 3.37% or 9.9 points to trade at 284.1 at the close. Shufersal (TASE:SAE) declined 1.47% or 35 points to end at 2351 and Poalim (TASE:POLI) was down 1.45% or 40 points to 2720.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 221 to 166 and 28 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to $57.77 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 0.06% or 0.04 to hit $62.33 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.39% or 5.75 to trade at $1464.75 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.06% to 3.4664, while EUR/ILS fell 0.15% to 3.8171.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.06% at 98.232.
